Well it took about nine days to go down, but i am back in my house minus the water all around.
I have nothing to complain or contest about concerning this time, because there are other people in America today that are having far worse times with their rivers flooding. This experiences has defiantly made me more aware of other natural disasters and inconveniences that happen in this country, and to be praying for them at their hour of need. A good thing to do if you want to pray for those misplaced or homeless or in danger of any thing like this; go to FEMA's web page for updates.
God has taught me a heck of a lot of things since being out of house and i believe i am a better person through this experience.
God is good.
My testimony. Last Thursday Debbie and i came back to check out our house and it was no better (nor worse) than what it was a week previous. We waded through three foot of water and stayed in our house before it got dark before we ventured out again. Before we left we prayed a 'miracle prayer' For it to go down by Monday (today), and lo and behold a miracle happened and the water subsided turning a lot of ice that as i write this is been torn up by a huge digger thanks to the city of Grand Rapids.
Jesus is a miracle worker, everything has to submit to him - Go on, pray for something impossible today!!
This is the Grand River in my town Grand Rapids - The river here is about six feet below where it has been over the last week or so.
