Write to your governor!! Part 2

So right now, where is the Largest church? Seoul, Korea. 1,000,000 members.
In Inida there is a turn over rate of people get born again, at 100%.
There is more people getting born again in China than any nation in the world.

What do these three countries have in common?
They are all under either communism or some kind of christian persecution.
Why do I mention this?

Because it seems that the church of Christ seems to grow in abundance when it is under persecutuion. Remember Israel in egypt. it says that they were slaves yet they multiplied and bore fruit under their opressive conditions.
the parable of the Kindgom in connection with the leaven in the dough of Bread. it starts off slow but it grows and grows, slowly yet steadily, untill it has completly taken over.
hypotheticly speaking; if it meant another 1,000,000 souls coming to Jesus in the US this year on top of the normal number; i would be the first to get the LORD's prayer out of school, i would be the first to give the Gays their marriage certificits. Because it has nothing to do with the externals. homosexuality is just another fruit of Sin; the godless school leaders are just fruits of sin, as are abortion clinics. but if we can touch their hearts and not take away their freedoms (like the dictators that we fled from to get to America) thn will have no need of all this political agenda's.
My last word to such people:
Grow up, and start loving these people as they are and see them as candidates for Salvation!!

Write To your Governor!! Part1

Well it seems that Christianity in America has resorted to going the political route in order to 'get ur done'. I remember catching one of my favorite preachers (nay) Mr. John Hagge on tv once talking about how in California and other 'liberal' states are trying to get the Lord's prayer out of Schools for good. JH stirred his congregation to political activism by 'writing to your commissioners, write to your governor, write to your local pta!' but not once did i hear this man of God ask or encourage his congregation to pray for a resolve.
I find a lot of these evangelical churches fight for many things that i have never seen asked of us in the bible. I don't remember Jesus tellinsg us to make sure proposition 8 doesnt go through (gay marriage). I never heard a single parable about keeping God in schools. The fact is that this type of Christianity is far more concerned about keeping the constitution alive and not bothering to deal with actual issues concerning waging peace in international lands, or fighting against civil wars. There is also a blind ignorance concerning the salvation and welfare of the Muslims and Arabs; which kind of sounds like racism.
Leave the political batton at home and fight for the will of God, however than pans out.

The Bachelor

After the drama and excitment of The Bachelor had come to a conclusion, a patterned truth revealed itself once again in the 'After The Rose' show. The bachelor Jason had asked Melissa to marry him, yet within the six weeks following the engagement he wants to break it off citing that the Chemistry had gone, or at least 'changed'.
Out of the 13 plus seasons of this show only one couple has managed to saty together long enough to actually go through with a wedding. Good for them.
I don't know if it the fact that Jason is a weak man or just another victim of a reality show that manipulates anything that we would consider true to life, or in fact Real.
Why am I talking about this? What kind of Spiritual application can we learn from this show?
It's simple, and anyone who has been married for more than a year will understand the term 'the honeymoon period'. When you get married you go on a vacation and you learn to be one together in a romantic, carefree environment for at least a week or two. And then life hits you hard! Reality set's in.
The contestants of the Bachelor have yet to posess the longevity of sight to see and expect that the utter elation of a fantasy world for a few weeks, and the sheer harshness of every day reality, are two very different worlds.
Christians some times have this kind of problem. I refer this as the mountain experience with the valley life.
We enjoy God and his presence as it manifests so powerfully, sometimes on a Sunday morning or in a praise meeting, and then find it hard the next day to live out our Christian walks in the 'valley' of life.
We all need to live in a natural slash supernatural life with moderation and balance; and also the maturity to know that we have to face our days sometimes without feeling his close touch in our lives.
