Well it seems that Christianity in America has resorted to going the political route in order to 'get ur done'. I remember catching one of my favorite preachers (nay) Mr. John Hagge on tv once talking about how in California and other 'liberal' states are trying to get the Lord's prayer out of Schools for good. JH stirred his congregation to political activism by 'writing to your commissioners, write to your governor, write to your local pta!' but not once did i hear this man of God ask or encourage his congregation to pray for a resolve.
I find a lot of these evangelical churches fight for many things that i have never seen asked of us in the bible. I don't remember Jesus tellinsg us to make sure proposition 8 doesnt go through (gay marriage). I never heard a single parable about keeping God in schools. The fact is that this type of Christianity is far more concerned about keeping the constitution alive and not bothering to deal with actual issues concerning waging peace in international lands, or fighting against civil wars. There is also a blind ignorance concerning the salvation and welfare of the Muslims and Arabs; which kind of sounds like racism.
Leave the political batton at home and fight for the will of God, however than pans out.
